How do I place a bid?
bids4freedom runs the most fun, easy and secure bidding system. After logging in, visit the Auctions page and click on the auction you would like to participate in. Further details of the package can be viewed and if you're interested, you can place a bid! (AUD) and the Administration fee required for each bid for Lowest Unique Bids (Bid to Zero Auction does not have an Administration Fee). The Admin fee varies from auction to auction based on the value of the package on offer. The only other cost once the bid ends is your winning bid amount. For example: The Administration fee of $10.00 plus the winning amount bid of $0.05, so the total cost is $10.05 (The Admin fee is charged even if you win or lose, so make sure you have enough Freedom Dollars to pay for the Admin Fee). You must also take into account the numbers of times you have placed a bid in an Auction Package to calculate your full cost of involvement. For example: If you have placed 5 bids each with $10.00 Administration fees then the total cost of being involved was $50.00. (Providing you werent the lucky bidder, if you were the Winner of the Auction package you then must add on the cost of the winning bid). Get more information on bidding and Tips on How to Win !

Are there restrictions on the number of bids I can make?
bids4freedom doesn't restrict you on the number of bids you can make on Auction Packages. This decision yours to make, that is why we only allow persons over the age of 18 (legally recognised age of an adult) to use our Website. Please use common sense when deciding what is financially appropriate for you in regards to the number of bids you make and the value of these bids. bids4freedom also donates 10% percent of proceeds to our nominated Australian charities. -
How long do auctions last?
bids4freedom's auctions continue until the required number of bids are met on Lowest Unique Bids, and once the item is purchased on Bid to Zero Auctions. You can view the number of bids needed and number of bids made as these are displayed on each auction. -
How does the auction work for Lowest Unqiue Bid system and who wins the package?
bids4freedom's auctions work a little differently than a normal auction. The winning bidder is the person who has the lowest unique (not like any other) bid when the full number of required bids are met. An example of how an auction works is listed below.
BID #1 $0.01 Not unique BID #2 $0.01 Not unique BID #3 $0.22 Unique, but not Lowest BID #4 $0.15 Unique, but not Lowest BID #5 $0.11 Unique, but not Lowest BID #6 $0.06 Lowest Unqiue Bid BID #7 $0.07 Unique, but not Lowest BID #8 $0.08 Unique, but not Lowest -
What happens if no bids are unique?
If at the completion of the Auction (an Auction is completed once the required number of bids is met) it is found that there is no single, lowest unique bid, then the winning bid will be establised by bids4freedom as the lowest bid amount with two bidders and of those two bidders the Winner will be the bidder that placed the bid at the earliest point in time. If this process does not produce a Winner, the process will continue to the lowest bid placed with three bidders and so on until a Winner is established. -
I just won an auction! What now?
At auction close, the lowest unique bidder will be emailed or phoned by a staff member of bids4freedom. The bidder can then accept or reject the purchase. If the winning bidder accepts, they pay the winning bid amount. If the bidder rejects, the package will be forwarded to the next closest winner, as per the process advised above in number 5. This process is continued until the sale is completed. Sale, meaning that if the bidder placed a bid for 0.17c then that amount will have to be paid for before the Auction Package will be given to the Winner. -
How long do I have to pay the winning bid amount?
bids4freedom allows 7 (seven) days before the package is offered to the second lowest unique bidder. The amount must be paid for using Freedom Dollars, so please make sure to have sufficient funds available. -
Are there any bidding tips?
bids4freedom tries to make your experience here as fun and easy as possible. A few things to look out for when bidding is the nominated highest bid limit. Though this varies from auction to auction, your bid should be between $0.01 and the highest bid limit. Does this mean I should bid as low as possible? Not necessarily. If everyone bids the lowest bid ($0.01), the bid will not be unique. However, others may think the same! So bidding the lowest may or may not be the best thing to do.
